Welcome to Nocturnal Reverie

Nocturnal Reverie is a fantasy role-playing website which caters to writers/role-players of the novice, amateur, and expert level. We encourage our members to think creatively and develop their writing ability while having fun in a friendly, active environment. Nocturnal Reverie centers on the Empire of Parthia and the current unfortunate events surrounding it. Our last plot focused on the island of Ilendrasea [pronounced: ilen-drah-see] in which a band of evil demon-like spirits called the lapu threatened to take over the island. Now that the island has fallen Parthia has become exposed to attack and destruction. Already a shadow has been cast over the Empire; sickness has ensued and there has been great unrest and hunger due to the multiple crop failures in the agricultural provinces. Our next plot will continue where the last one left off and if you would like to join we encourage you to read the quick plot summary in order to become better acquainted with the former history.

If, however, you decide that the plot does not suite your character or that it does not interest you, you may create your own post/plot-oriented topic in one of the many areas in and outside the Empire. Not happy with any of the places we have provided? Create your own. As writers for the website, we have only built a small portion of the world. The rest of the world can be seen as “undiscovered” land. So go ahead and choose from one of the many continents we have named. Create a tribe, clan, cult, or kingdom; what ever you wish.

Still interested in joining? As a member you will need to create one major character and have it approved by the administration. However, for your convenience, all other minor characters you play may be sheetless (without a profile). So feel free to browse around the website and we hope to see you around the boards sometime.
