Where is my confirmation e-mail? Either your e-mail has been sent to your junk mail/spam folder or may have mistyped your e-mail address when you registered. But don? fret! Contact one of the administrators via the c-box located at the bottom of the forum? page or use the email form that is located on the Contact page. Either way, you?l be validated in no time.

How do I get started role-playing?
It is quite simple, but to those unfamiliar with the setup of our forum, it may be a bit strange to work with. Simply go the the main forums, a link to which can be found on the right side of this page, and click on the register button near the top of the page. This will lead you through the process of getting an account on our forums. From there, you will able to post on the site. Start with introducing yourself here, and from there, move on to create a character using the sheet found here. Feel free to contact us at any time by sending us a PM (Private message), which can be done by finding one of our posts, and clicking on the PM button at the bottom of said post.

How do I go about creating my character? See this link to help you get started creating your character. And remember you?e describing a character others know little about so make your description thorough and concise.

Does my character have to be a race you have listed or can I use my own? Yes, you can use your own race but you have to describe it enough that other members will be able to grasp at its qualities. Don? simply put that your character is a such-and-such from so-and-so with magical/strength abilities of this-and-that. Give us fairly developed details of culture, religion, and geographical background. This does not apply to lesser known races developed in games like World of Warcraft or Everquest. All you have to do for these races is tell us where you got the idea from.

How is a character's strength and power determined? Your character? strength and power are determined solely by you. This does not mean that your character can go around killing other member? characters or possess god-like abilities. Your character must be flawed and may only posses up to two special powers.

What is the difference between a characters class and occupation? Unlike the classes you?l encounter in role-playing games our classes have to do with your character? rank in society. These being lower, middle, and upper. Also keep in mind that there were few people of the middle class, more of the lower, and less of the upper class. Occupation has to do with what your character does for a living and therefore contributes to your character? skills, abilities, and personality. So for instance if your character is a sword smith they might have great knowledge of metals and sword use/swordplay.

I created my own kingdom, story, etc can I use it? Yes, go right ahead. However, please be sure to prove us with a complete description of the place as it pertains to your character. When role-playing in the Nocturnal Reverie forum you can either choose to have your character be a visitor to the ?R region or become a resident. As a resident you have seven options: Arcius, Asurtania, Etherin, Iton, Laurennaia, Maloses, and the Parthaen Empire. Pick out a place that you feel pertains to your character or create your own far off kingdom, empire, tribe, etc.

What can I place in my signature? Feel free to place banners/images, quotes, and so on in your signature. Keep in mind that you must follow the rules and avoid positing lewd or racist remarks.

How do I place an image/banner in my signature? First you have to host the image you want in a free image host such as photobucket.com. Second, edit your signature. This is how it will look:

What is the chatroom for? The chatroom was set up so members could quickly chat with one another. So go ahead and use it, get to know your fellow peers better!
